Business & Finance Forum 2009 will be held on the 3rd December and will address the issue of the engagement of an accelerated economic growth performance for the Maltese business and the economy very frontally.
It seeks to do this with an international background of the global economic performance and how Malta is featuring in the World Economic Forum Competitiveness Index and of the international economic and business climate with the participation on the panel of:
- Malta’s political and corporate leaders
- International entrepreneurs
- Hon. Iain Smith MSP, Convener of the Scottish Parliamentary Committee for the Economy, Energy, and Tourism
- Ms. Helen Disney, CEO and Founder of the London-based leading policy think thank The Stockholm Network. Publications she writes for include "the Daily Express and Sunday Express, The Times, Public Finance, Public Service Magazine
- The event has been accredited with 5 hours of structured CPE and qualify for the attainment of Professional Competencies: Investment Business in terms of the MIA CPE Regulations
The participation of these speakers is based on the premise that Malta cannot take an attitude of waiting it out! International recovery does not guarantee economic growth in Malta – only competitiveness and a drive to succeed does.
